Pontis Health (the phone app, its home-screen widgets, and the Pontis watch app for Wear OS) is published by Waraksa & Co. LLC. It is a private digestive-health journal: your log stays on your own devices.
The entries you make (bowel movements, urination, food, water, sleep, how you feel, symptoms, medications, supplements, food trials and, only if you turn on cycle tracking, period flow and symptoms), anything you choose to import from Health Connect, your reminders, your water goal and cup sizes, your questions for your doctor and your settings are stored only on your phone, in storage that other apps cannot read. If you choose to attach a bowel photo, Pontis Health copies it into that same private storage. Entries you make on the watch are kept on the watch only until your phone confirms it has saved them.
Nothing. Pontis Health has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no servers, and it never sends your entries anywhere. The phone app includes the internet permission only because Google Play’s purchase library, used for the one-time unlock, includes it. We never receive, see, sell or share your health information.
Cycle tracking is off unless you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, the period flow, symptoms and notes you log are stored on your phone like your other entries, and the cycle day, next-period estimate and comparisons with your bowel movements are calculated on your phone. When you turn it off, you can keep those entries hidden on your phone or delete them. Estimates are not a method of birth control.
In Settings you can separately turn on importing meals, water, sleep, steps, weight, blood glucose and, with cycle tracking on, menstruation from Health Connect. For each one you turn on and allow, Pontis Health reads only that kind of entry that you or your other apps saved to Health Connect: for meals, food names, meal type, time, calories, fiber, fat and caffeine; for water, the amount and time; for sleep, when you fell asleep and woke up, and time awake; for steps, daily totals; for weight, the measurement and time; for blood glucose, the reading, time and its relation to meals; for menstruation, flow and period dates. It reads them only while Pontis Health is open, and uses them only to show them in your log, in your reports and exports when you make them, and to compare them with your bowel movements on your phone. Blood glucose is shown as history only; Pontis Health does not give alerts or treatment advice. If you turn on "Also save my water" or "Also save my period days", Pontis Health writes those entries you make in Pontis Health to Health Connect, where other apps you allow can read them. Pontis Health does not read or write any other Health Connect data, and never sends Health Connect data off your phone, sells it, or uses it for advertising. You can turn each import or write-back off in Settings and remove Pontis Health's access at any time in Health Connect. Entries already imported stay in your log until you delete them. The use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Medication, supplement and water reminders are set and shown by your phone. On the lock screen a medication reminder only says "Pontis Health reminder"; what it is for shows once the phone is unlocked. Tapping Taken, or Add on a water reminder, saves an entry in your log on your phone.
If you add a Pontis widget, it shows today's counts and water on your home screen. To keep them off the home screen, turn on "Hide counts on the widget" in Settings.
If you turn on the app lock, Pontis Health asks Android to check your fingerprint, face or screen lock. Pontis Health never sees or stores your fingerprint, face or screen-lock details.
The Pontis watch app sends the entries you make on it to the Pontis Health app on your paired phone, and the phone sends back today's counts, water goal and the last seven days so the watch, its tiles and its complications can show them. This uses the Wear OS connection provided by Google Play services, only between your own phone and watch, and only to Pontis Health.
You can choose to create a doctor report (PDF or text), a summary for an AI or notes app, a spreadsheet, today's summary or a backup file. Information leaves the app only when you choose one of these and pick where it goes. Once shared, it is covered by the privacy practices of the app or person you sent it to. Photos are never included in exports or backups.
If you tap Send feedback, your email app opens a message to us with the app version, Android version and phone model, which you can read and change before sending; we use it only to answer you. If you rate Pontis Health, Google Play handles the rating under Google's own privacy policy.
Android cloud backup is turned off for Pontis Health, so your log is not copied to an online backup by the app. To keep a copy, use Export > Save a backup file, or turn on automatic backup in Settings, which saves a backup file once a week into a folder you choose and keeps the newest five. If that folder belongs to another app or service (for example a cloud storage app), its own privacy practices apply to the files there. When you set up a new phone, Android's direct phone-to-phone transfer may copy app data between your own devices.
You can delete single entries in History, or everything (entries, photos, favorites, presets, reminders and settings) in Settings > Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also removes its data from the phone. Backup files you saved yourself, including automatic backups, are not affected; delete them where you stored them. Entries Pontis Health saved to Health Connect stay there until you delete them in Health Connect.
Pontis Health is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Pontis Health is a tracking and organization tool. It does not diagnose conditions or replace professional medical advice. Patterns it shows, such as food, stress, sleep, water or cycle comparisons and food trials, are observations from your own log, not proof of cause. Water goals and cycle estimates are starting points; follow your doctor's advice.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
